Tumbled leer is kalfsleer dat na het looien mechanisch wordt getuimeld om de vezels losser te maken: het resultaat is een leer dat zachter en soepeler aanvoelt dan geperst of glad leer, en dat met gebruik een eigen patina ontwikkelt waarbij de meest aangeraakte plekken een rijkere diepte krijgen. Deze Emporio Armani Tumbled Leather portemonnee is volledig in zwart kalfsleer uitgevoerd, zonder contrasterende stiksels of metalen elementen. Het enige exterieur-detail is het gerubberd 3D logo-reliëf op de voorkant, zwart op zwart, dat alleen zichtbaar is wanneer licht erop valt of wanneer het oppervlak wordt aangeraakt. Afmetingen in gevouwen staat: 11 x 9,4 cm, 1,8 cm dik. Het formaat valt vlak genoeg om in elke broek- of borstzak te passen zonder zichtbaar te vormen. Binnenin: een centraal bankbiljettencompartiment en meerdere kaartsleufjes aan weerszijden, voldoende voor de meest gebruikte combinatie van betaalpassen, ID en bankbiljetten. 100% kalfsleer, geen synthetische tussenlagen of versterkingen. Het Emporio Armani Tumbled Leather bifold-formaat betekent één vouwlijn dwars door het midden. Bij dagelijks gebruik en een lichte vulling past de portemonnee comfortabel in de voorbroekzak of borstjaszak. De zachtheid van het tumbled leer maakt dat de portemonnee direct meevouwt met het gebruik en zijn eigen draagprofiel aanneemt. Vul de portemonnee niet maximaal: een overvulde bifold-portemonnee trekt de naden op termijn scheef. Twee tot vier betaalpassen en een kleine hoeveelheid bankbiljetten is de ideale dagelijkse inhoud voor de beste vorm en langste levensduur.

Combineer deze portemonnee met een zwart leren riem en een slanke cardholder in de borstzak, of draag hem als enig accessoire in het borstzakje van een donker colbert. Het zwart-op-zwart logo-detail is voor de kenner een subtiele bevestiging van de materiaalkeuze, voor een ander onzichtbaar.

Best heat shrink tubing on the market
Stop buying the kits with multi sized heat shrink tubes. Don’t buy the 5’-10’ pieces that arrive folded up and as thin as scotch tape. This stuff is nice and thick, it shrinks evenly, and my favorite, it is lined with glue on the interior. This is a 65 foot roll of 3:1, high quality heat shrink tubing. I will never go back to the kits that say 400 pieces and 300 of those pieces are only big enough to heat shrink some thread or a strand of hair. I have purchased 2 sizes and I use it 3-4 times per week and I don’t think I’ll ever run out. This is one of my favorite discoveries of 2023. Before buying a kit, think about how many sizes you really need. I can do all of my AC 120v and DC 12v wiring, which consists of 4-5 sizes of wire, and I only need 2 sizes of heat shrink tube for all of it. It’s oddly satisfying to watch this stuff shrink and see the glue squeeze out of the ends. Definitely ASMR.
