Wat zijn we gelukkig dat de wijnen uit de Alsace van Domaines Schlumberger mogen verkopen want wat is dit toch mooi. Dat heeft vooral te maken met de zeer lange geschiedenis die het wijnhuis heeft opgebouwd. Het begon allemaal toen voormalig leerlooierij bedrijf onder leiding van Claus Schlumberger verhuisde naar Frankrijk. Om precies te zijn in het plaatsje Guebwiller wat werd overheerst door de monniken die de naam droegen The Princes Abbés". Claus had het niet naar zijn zin en verhuisde al snel naar Mulhouse, een vrije en protestantse stad. Daar trouwde hij met zijn vrouw en kreeg vele kinderen. Een hiervan was Nicolas Schlumberger. Hij nam het stokje over van zijn vader en bouwde in 1810 een grotere wijnkelder en verbouwde toen op twintig hectare de mooiste wijnen. De familie Schlumberger is daarmee één van de oudste wijnhuizen in de Alsace. Ook vandaag de dag worden de wijnen van Domaines Schlumberger nog door de familie gemaakt en we proeven veel diepgang in hun serie.Volledige handmatige oogst voor deze Gewürztraminer
De liefde voor de Gewürztraminer druif is groot en de druiven komen dan ook uit verschillende wijngaarden, maar voornamelijk uit Bollenberg en Bux en ook van de jonge wijnstokken uit Schlumberger's Grand Cru-wijngaarden. Het klimaat wat heerst in de wijngaarden is uniek en de Gewürztraminer krijgen ruim voldoende zon uren maar ook koelte van de wind. De koelte is van belang om de het rijpingsproces rustig en evenwichtig te laten verlopen. Als de druiven een maal rijp zijn worden ze geheel met de hand geoogst in de vroege ochtend. Want dan is de kans op oxidatie en schade het minst. In kleine kratten worden de Gewürztraminer druiven naar de pers gebracht en krijgt de gehele wijn een rijping op de Lie. Deze periode duurt ongeveer acht maanden en hij bouwt zijn finesse en kracht op.Vol en zeer krachtig deze Schlumberger Gewürztraminer
Het is een compleet glas Gewürztraminer, gewoon weg een feest. Wat al begint bij het open maken van de fles want dan geeft hij al aroma's van gekonfijt, exotisch fruit (passievrucht, mango, papaja en lychee). Neem een groot glas zodat u goed kunt walsen in het glas want dan geeft deze witte Schlumberger Gewürztraminer alles prijs. Het begint al bij de mooie gele kleur en de prachtige geur van vanille, banaan, geel fruit, peer, perzik en specerijen (gekonfijte gember). De smaak is zacht en typisch Gewürztraminer, mooie dikke structuur en veel fruit nuances van mango, papaja, passievrucht, banaan, witte perzik, peer, lychee, vanille en diverse specerijen. Surprisingly strong cooling effect and really comfortable

This comforter honestly impressed me more than I expected. The cooling effect is very noticeable right away. Like actually noticeable, not just one of those things brands say. When you first touch it, it feels cool to the skin and that feeling sticks around instead of fading instantly.
I’ve been using it at night and it definitely helps with overheating. I tend to get cery hot when I sleep, also I’m pregnant right now so that makes it even worse, and this has made a difference. It feels lightweight but still cozy enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re just using a thin sheet.
The fabric is really soft and smooth, also it lays nicely on the bed without feeling stiff or bulky. It gives that clean, almost silky feel without being slippery.
One thing to keep in mind is it’s not a super thick comforter, but i will say there is some heft to it. Like if i wrap myself around in it, it has some weight to it.
Overall, I’m really happy with it. It actually does what it claims with the cooling, and it’s comfortable enough for everyday use. Great option if you’re a hot sleeper or just want something lighter and refreshing at night.

I love this comforter! It is so silky soft, feels so nice to sleep under.

I absolutely love this comforter! It is super lightweight and has a very silky soft shell on both sides. It feels so good to sleep under! Ever since I have been using it, I haven't been waking up in sweat covered sheets. It constantly has a cool feel to it 24/7. It is large enough that it fits my king size bed pretty good. It doesn't hang far over the edges, but it fits. It is dual sided, so you can have a light gray look on one side and a dark gray look on the other side, depending on what fits your decor better. I definitely recommend getting if you are on the lookout for a cooling comforter, especially because of the silky soft feel.

It really cools - Extremely soft - Not too heavy

This comforter arrived packaged very well from the manufacturer. It arrived sealed in plastic inside a box. The color and appearance of the comforter received looks like what was shown in the listing. This comforter is extremely soft. It feels very cool to the touch. It has a great cooling effect. It is also not too heavy. A lot of cooling bedding products like this feel heavy. While this does have some weight it is not too much. It is easy to move around. The comforter is easy to refresh and cool off again after extended use. I just uncovered myself, lifted and moved the comforter around a little, then covered back up. This made it feel cooler again. I am very happy with this comforter so far. I like the color and design. I really like feeling cool when falling asleep. This will be great when the temperatures start going up. I will update this review later if anything changes after washing a few more times and longer use. I think this will be a good comforter for most hot sleepers who like to cover up all year.

Feels seriously amazing!

This is my second cooling comforter from this brand and this one is just as amazing as the first. It’s silky soft and makes a significant temperature difference. It’s like magic; you don’t need to do anything special to cool it before bed. If you do want extra coolness, you can place it in front of your AC or turn on your fan for a little bit before bed and It absorbs the extra coolness but either way it lasts all night. I use it with the cooling pillow, and the hot summer nights are no match. It’s easy to wash, really silky, smooth, and actually cool against the skin. It also somehow has a weighted blanket-like feel without being heavy. I standby this blanket so much that this is my second one, highly recommend!

Super Soft, Lightweight, and Surprisingly Cozy
This ended up being so much better than I expected. The first thing I noticed is how incredibly soft it is - it has that plush, velvety feel that makes you want to keep reaching for it all day.
It’s lightweight but still warm, which I really like. It gives you that cozy, wrapped-up feeling without being heavy or overwhelming, so it works well for everyday use on the couch or even for sleeping. For reference, I’m 5’2” and it’s big enough to comfortably use as a full snuggle blanket.
It also looks really nice draped over furniture. The texture adds a little dimension, and the clean, simple color gives it a polished look that doesn’t feel cheap.
One thing to note is that it arrives compressed, but it fluffs up nicely once opened and feels much fuller after a little time.
The only thing to keep in mind is that lighter colors will naturally show dirt more easily, so that’s something to be aware of with regular use.
Overall, this has easily become my go-to daily throw - soft, comfortable, and much nicer than I expected for the price.
