Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’ is een klassieke en rijkbloeiende lavendel die zorgt voor een sterke geur en een diepe paarse kleur in de tuin. Van juli tot augustus staat deze variëteit volop in bloei met compacte aren boven het grijsgroene, aromatische blad.

Deze lavendel is zeer geschikt voor borders, rotstuinen en potten en trekt volop bijen en vlinders aan. Door zijn compacte groei en intensere bloemkleur is ‘Hidcote’ een van de meest geliefde lavendelsoorten.

Standplaats en verzorging
Lavandula ‘Hidcote’ groeit het beste in volle zon in goed doorlatende, droge tot matig voedselrijke grond. De plant is winterhard en onderhoudsarm. Verwijder uitgebloeide bloemen na de bloei en snoei in het vroege voorjaar (eind februari) terug om de plant compact en vitaal te houden.
