Een Millésime of Vintage is waar je als Champagne liefhebber altijd wel naar op zoek bent. Het gaat om jaargangen uit de Champagne streek waar de oogst zo goed was dat alleen druiven van dat jaar gebruikt worden voor de bubbeltjes wijn. Nu hoor ik u denken: er zitten toch altijd druiven van het zelfde jaar in de fles? Klopt! Alleen dat geldt niet voor de Champagne streek. Hier mogen ze meerdere jaren door elkaar mengen, omdat niet elk jaar even goed is. Deze oudere jaren die ze gebruiken om te mengen heet reserve wijn. Maar die Reserve wijn was voor deze champagne dus niet nodig, want 2014 was een perfect jaar. Wat deze champagne ook bijzonder maakt is dat het gelijk ook een ouwetje is. Dat komt de smaak enorm ten goede, want hoe langer de champagne mag rijpen op fles hoe zachter de mousse (bubbel) wordt en hoe rijper en complexer de smaak. Zo'n bijzondere champagne voor deze prijs is echt een koopje, want je betaald normaal makkelijk een meervoud. Er zijn er maar 2299 flessen gemaakt en we hebben maar 23 flessen, dus op = op.

Maybe it would work better for someone not using it so often, because aside from longevity, it was a handy little tool. If they made it with a more durable/quality fan motor, I’d probably re-order again (but I highly doubt that’ll happen haha)
