Crayon Rocks zijn helder en vol van kleur en makkelijk door en over elkaar te gebruiken.

De natuurlijke sojawax krijtjes zijn gemaakt in de VS van lokaal geteelde soja en gekleurd met natuurlijke mineralen pigmenten. Het formaat is speciaal ontworpen t.b.v. de betreffende 3 puntsgreep. Ze leren kinderen eenvoudig een goede grip aan.

Er kan met de ronde punt en met de vlakke kanten worden gekleurd. Grote vlakken kunnen mooi ingevuld worden met kleur door de grote vlakke kanten. Kinderen zijn hierdoor extra gemotiveerd om zelf tekeningen te maken, door de grote vlakken hebben ze sneller resultaat met het kleuren van grote vlakken. Ideaal voor kinderen met super veel energie 😊

Verbeter de pengreep

Crayon Rocks zijn voor iedereen maar extra handig voor kinderen en volwassenen die moeite hebben normale krijtjes in pengreep vast te houden. De krijtjes versterken de spieren ter voorbereiding op het leren schrijven. Ze zijn juist daarom goed te gebruiken in voorbereidend schrijfonderwijs op school en thuis. Ze ondersteunen kinderen met een motorische beperking bij het tekenen en schrijven. Een verkeerd aangeleerde pengreep kunnen met de krijtjes en een geschat tijdbestek van ca 1-2 maanden worden hersteld.

De krijtjes liggen prettig in de hand en de vorm maakt het mogelijk om ook met kleine vingertjes te kleuren en grote bewegingen te maken waardoor je prachtige kleurrijke beelden kunt creëren. Ergotherapeuten en Fysiotherapeuten verwijzen graag door naar Crayon Rocks, omdat er al goede resultaten zijn behaald om de fijne motoriek van kinderen te ontwikkelen of te verbeteren. Ze zijn geliefd bij kleuterleerkrachten en leerkrachten uit groep 3 en 4.

 

Veel kinderen willen vanaf 1 jaar al kleuren. Officieel zijn de krijtjes niet geschikt voor kinderen onder de 3 jaar vanwege inslikgevaar. Geef de krijtjes daarom alleen aan een kind onder de 3 jaar als je er bij bent.

 

Crayon Rocks® is ontwikkeld door een Amerikaanse lerares Barbara Lee, die werkte met kinderen met een motorische of emotionele beperking. De krijtjes zijn geïnspireerd op Jan Olsen, OTR en het 'Handwriting without tears' programma.

Soft and comfortable cooling pillowcase that gets the job done!

I got this quilted bamboo pillow protector (queen size) because I wanted a cleaner, cooler layer between my pillow and pillowcase since I’m always hot. This has been a great solution for that. The fabric feels soft and smooth, and it doesn’t make that crinkly noise some cooling pillowcases do. I’m a warm sleeper and the “cooling” aspect feels more like breathable than icy-cold, but it definitely sleeps more comfortably than the thick polyester protectors I’ve used in the past. The light quilting adds a little cushion without making my pillow feel bulky or changing the loft much. I like the fact that if you use a memory foam fill pillow you can add or remove some of the filling to make the pillow as firm or mushy as you want. This is especially helpful for people that are side sleepers vs people that need more neck support. The zipper is a big plus. Just be careful when zipping it open and closed as these are usually the first point of failure for pillowcases in my experience. It closes fully and keeps the protector snug so it doesn’t shift around inside the pillowcase, and it gives me peace of mind for sweat / oils and everyday wear. I’ve washed it and it came out fine with no weird shrinking, and the stitching still looks clean. For the price, it feels like good value if you’re trying to extend the life of a nicer pillow while keeping the sleep surface soft and breathable. It’s one of those small upgrades you don’t think about much once it’s on, which is kind of the point. It just works and helps me sleep more comfortably.
