Vetplanten en cactussen Omdat vetplanten en cactussen water kunnen opslaan, hebben ze niet zo veel verzorging nodig. De meeste vetplanten en cactussen die in de winkel te koop ziet zijn vrij klein. Ze worden klein aangeboden om de prijs laag te houden. Wil je een wat grotere vetplant of cactus dan betaal je daar ook voor. Dit komt omdat vetplanten en cactussen heel erg traag groeien. Een vetplant of cactus met een doorsnede van 20 cm betaal je al snel een bedrag van rond de €50,-. Dus mijn advies, begin klein en met wat geduld wordt het vanzelf een groter exemplaar.
Cactussen Omdat er zo veel verschillende cactussen bestaan, maar de verzorging vrijwel hetzelfde is, hebben we alle cactussen op een hoop gegooid. Ten eerste pas op, ze prikken. Vooral de kleine harige naalden zijn moeilijk uit je vingers te krijgen, ze kruipen namelijk je huid in. Cactussen hebben hele kleine wortels. De belangrijkste functie van de wortels van cactussen is dat ze zichzelf kunnen vasthouden in de aarde waar ze in staan. Het meeste water nemen ze via hun huid op. De meeste mensen geven cactussen ook verkeerd water. Het beste wat je kunt doen is de cactus met een plantenspuit 1 x per week flink besproeien, tot de druppels er uit rollen. Cactussen vinden het heerlijk om in het zonnetje te staan. Dus heb je een plek waar veel de zon op staat, dan is de cactus de ideale plant. Houd wel rekening met de zomerzon. Die is vaak toch wel wat te sterk voor de cactus, mede omdat een raam als vergrootglas fungeert. Dat betekend dat zonnestralen door het glas versterkt worden, soms wel 10x, dan kan de cactus verbranden.

Good Start for X-men from the Ashes

The art is different than previous issues and takes a little getting used to, but overall above par. With comics, it’s always about the art first, the writing second. The dialogue pops for the most part. And the characters make sense. I rather like the scenes between Cyke and Logan, Hank and Cyke, and Magneto. Also it makes sense that after being tortured and put through hell - Cyclops would retreat to his birthplace, Alaska, and take the mutants who can’t blend in with humans, or are ostracized with him. The team up works for me - we have people who are deadly, former assassins and villains, which again works well with Cyclops, a character who believes in second chances. Only quibble - is the villains feel kind of stale? I was never a fan of the U-Men. But I’ll give it a chance, the rest is working for me so far.

I really enjoyed this first issue. The team's dynamics seem to be getting a lot of focus which I like. And the action jumps out of the page. The character designs will take some getting used to but the art is honestly fantastic. Most enjoyable part to me was the team actually feeling like a team, with lots of small interplays and Cyclops really feeling like the leader he should be. I'm not sure I like Orchis as the villains again but we'll see how it goes.

I didn't really care for the Krakoan era as a whole, and knowing how comics, especially the X-Men, go through cycles every few years, knew it wouldn't last. I'm especially glad to see the somewhat bland logos go and the classic ones return. I like this line up so far, especially the inclusion of the Juggernaut. I remember reading the comics years ago when he first switched sides, and was.disappointed when he went back to being bad. I haven't read the concluding chapters of the Krakoan era yet, so seeing a "classic" version of the Beast is a little surprising since the last time I saw him he had turned into an evil piece of %#@+. The story by Jed MacKay was interesting and entertaining, as I knew it would be. I've always enjoyed Ryan Stegman's art. Looking forward to more of this series and the other X-Men books, especially Uncanny X-Men.

I haven’t read X-Men comics in years, but decided to dive back in as a supplement to all the Marvel Cinematic buzz. The plot seems like standard X-Men fare. The weakness of the comic medium, particularly for characters like the X-Men, is the holding pattern of the status quo that the characters are constantly suck in. I’m not sure if this series will deliver a clever twist on it yet. The dynamic they are setting up with the downtrodden Sentinel manufacturing town is interesting, as is the implicit aspiration of the X-Men to replenish the land itself. I am enjoying the team composition and the gorgeous art. They decided to crucify Wolverine again and it looked cool as ever. Juggernaut’s costume, too, is incredibly drawn.
