Roero Arneis Riserva “Sette Gennaio” DOCG 2019 – Cascina Lanzarotti

Een witte wijn met diepgang, elegantie en een verrassend rijpingspotentieel.

Deze bijzondere Roero Arneis Riserva komt van het historische perceel Sant’Anna in Monteu Roero. De wijn is gemaakt van 100% Arneis-druiven, afkomstig van 40 jaar oude stokken op zandrijke bodems op 230–250 meter hoogte. De vinificatie gebeurt in roestvrijstalen tanks bij gecontroleerde temperatuur (17–18 °C), gevolgd door een rijping “sur lies” met batonnage van minstens 8 maanden. Daarna rust de wijn nog 5 tot 6 jaar op fles voordat hij op de markt komt.

In het glas toont hij een intens strogele kleur. De neus is expressief met tonen van witte bloemen, vuursteen en subtiele minerale tonen zoals natte steen en een hint van petroleum – een zeldzaamheid voor witte wijnen uit deze regio. In de mond is hij krachtig, warm en gestructureerd, met een frisse zuurgraad en een lange, ziltige afdronk.

Deze wijn bewijst dat Arneis niet alleen jong gedronken hoeft te worden. Integendeel: deze Riserva heeft een bewaarpotentieel van 10 tot 12 jaar.

Serveeradvies

  • Temperatuur: 14–16 °C
  • Karafferen: niet nodig, maar openen 15 minuten voor het serveren is aan te raden
  • Glas: ruim witwijnglas of Bourgogneglas

Food pairing

Perfect bij geroosterde vis, schaal- en schelpdieren, gevogelte met romige sauzen, of een risotto met venkel of citroen. Ook heerlijk bij zachte kazen of als verrassende begeleider van een vegetarisch voorgerecht met artisjok of paddenstoelen.

Een witte wijn met structuur en ziel – voor wie verder kijkt dan fris en fruitig.
