Sedert het beging van de jaren ’80 wordt het bedrijf geleid door de broers Antiono Soares Franco en Domingos Soares Franco, de zesde generatie sinds de oprichting in 1834. Alambre is de vroegere naam van de wijn en van de oudste wijngaard op het schiereiland van Setúbal waar de Moscatel nog steeds is aangeplant.
