Let op bij het aanschaffen van een chunker schaar!
Een chunker geeft een prachtig resultaat maar is een professionele trimschaar waarbij een professionele kniptechniek bij gebruikt moet worden.  Om een chunker goed te gebruiken hebben we een aantal tips:

  • Houd de schaar goed vast. Dit doe je met de duim en de ring vinger. 
  • Zet geen druk! Zodra je iets te veel druk zet gaat de schaar direct kapot
  • Beweeg alleen de duim tijdens het knippen. De ringvinger mag niet mee bewegen. Hierdoor komt er te veel druk op de schaar en gaat de schaar kapot.
  •  Maak zachte, kleine knipbewegingen in de vacht. 
  • Zorg dat de vacht helemaal fluffy en klit vrij is voor een mooi resultaat. 

Wij controleren alle chunker scharen voordat ze worden verstuurd. Wij geven helaas geen garantie op de chunker schaar. 
Ben je hierdoor gaan twijfelen? Dan raden we de effileerschaar van Furry Original aan. Dit is een fijne schaar om mee te blenden zonder het gevaar dat de schaar stuk slaat. 

De Rainbow Razor van Tools 2 Groom is een schaar die soepel en erg goed knipt. De semiprofessionele trimschaar Chunker is te gebruiken voor zowel links als rechtshandigen. De schaar is geschikt voor alle doodle vachten. 

Wat de Chunker zo een fijne trimschaar maakt is dat je met deze schaar een mooi verloop krijgt in de vacht. Dus geen lelijke happen in de vacht. 

Op de Schaar zit een stelschroef. Daarnaast blijft de schaar lang scherp. De schaar wordt geleverd met een opberghoesje in dezelfde kleur als de inzetringen.

I bought this specifically for ironing interfacing onto t-shirts before cutting into squares. Some of the memory t-shirt's had ‘puffy paint’ and other shirts had uncertain designs that may be ruined by ironing without protection or by using just a pressing cloth (cotton material). A teflon sheet was suggested on a you tube video to ‘play it safe’ when making a memory quilt. I felt the heat resistance teflon helped because you need to hold iron in same place for a longer time than ‘regular ironing’ movement. It worked well, the only (minor) issue is you can’t see through it. It did not interfere at all because positioning of shirt and interfacing was in place. I’m a ‘newby’ at this process; this worked for me. This is a good quality material; one sheet can be used for ironing t-shirts forever, I plan on using the other two teflon sheets to line outdoor BBQ drawer.
