Topverkopers DAT-HD-Boss is beschikbaar als UHF, maar ook als Combi. Naast alle unieke distributeurs, krijg je in het combimodel ook de VHF-band in dezelfde antenne. De ingebouwde low-noise versterker heeft een signaal-bypass. Geen spanning betekent dat de antenne passief werkt. 12-24 volt geeft en actieve antenne met AGC. Natuurlijk in een HF-strak huis. In het HF-dichte huis is er een 4-laagse versterkerkaart met geavanceerde automatische AGC. Dit betekent dat de antenne altijd maximale prestaties biedt, ongeacht of het signaal te kort of te sterk is. I design flaw caused me to return it.
Color: Brown/Blue
Pros:
- Perfect case size.
- Sapphire crystal.
- Solar powered quartz.
- Large dial face
- Minute and second hands reach to minute track for precise reading.
- Great field watch design and proportions.
- Effective lume on hands.
Cons:
- Lume on small triangular hour markers is useless, and fades quickly.
- The hour numbers are not luminous.
- The dull peach color chosen for the hour markers, numbers and hands in dim lighting is very dull and thus hard to read.
- The dark blue color chosen for the dial is a dull hue that doesn’t really look blue, but just reduces the contrast between text and markers.
- A black dial and bright white markers and numbers would make the watch much more legible/ readable, and would look much better aesthetically. It is a shame that these choices were made on an otherwise perfect design.
- I was really excited that Timex finally seemed to get it when they came out with this series of models, but then they handicapped it with a dial that is only useable in bright light. What a shame.
I am returning the watch.
