Het SOPHIOR broodmes van 22 cm heeft een gekarteld lemmet van Duits 1.4116 roestvast staal, gesmeed uit één stuk. De kartelingen maken het mogelijk om door harde korsten te snijden zonder te drukken: het lemmet grijpt het oppervlak en trekt zich naar beneden door brood, baguette of zuurdesem zonder het zachte binnenste te verbrijzelen. Op 22 cm lemmetlengte snijd je ook grotere broden en cakes in één doorgaande beweging.

Het FSC-gecertificeerde walnoothouten handvat geeft het mes dezelfde warme uitstraling als de koksmessen in het SOPHIOR assortiment. Wie meerdere SOPHIOR messen heeft, heeft een consistente, stijlvolle set met identieke handvatten. Het mes weegt 195 gram en heeft een totale lengte van 35 cm. Naast brood is een broodmes ook geschikt voor tomaten, citrusvruchten en andere producten met een taaie schil en zacht binnenste.

Hoe onderhoud ik een koksmes of broodmes met houten handvat?

Was het mes na gebruik met de hand af met warm water en mild afwasmiddel. Droog het direct en volledig, ook het handvat. Laat het nooit in water staan en nooit in de vaatwasser. Bewaar het mes in een messenblok, op een magneetstrip of in een mesbeschermer. Wrijf het walnoothouten handvat een paar keer per jaar in met een druppel minerale olie om het hout soepel en mooi te houden. Het mes wordt geleverd in een luxe geschenkdoos met levenslange garantie op materiaal- en fabricagefouten.
