Ik vind het bijna knullig om te zeggen, maar deze 2,5 deciliter schaaltjes van Marimekko vind ik zó schattig! De verhoudigen, de vorm, je wilt zo'n schaaltje gewoon even vasthouden. En dat is ook nog eens heel fijn omdat ze zo heerlijk glad en rond zijn!

Van stad naar natuur

De print die over de buitenkant van de schaal loopt, vertelt het verhaal van de Siirtolapuutarha, oftewel stadstuin. Een plek waar bruisende stad en bloeiende en groeiende natuur elkaar tegenkomen. In dit geval zijn het vooral bloemen en zwrat-witte fantasiemotieven en een meisje met rode wangetjes.

Mixen maar!

Dit ontwerp is van 2009 en van de hand van Maija Louekari. Een ander onderdeel van deze uitgebreide collectie is het acrylcoated tafelkleed met dezelfde naam én de hele serie Räsymatto (voddenkleed) met de zwarte stippen op een witte ondergrond. Deze verschillende items combineren allemaal prachtig met elkaar, precies de bedoeling van Marimekko met het Oiva servies.
