De Robinia pseudoacacia 'Appalachia' op stam heeft een groene kleine bladeren die vrij lang aan de boom blijven in de herfst, wat hem een karakteristieke uitstraling geeft. De opvallendste sierwaarden van deze boom zijn, zijn witte bloesem en kleine bladeren, die in de herfst geel verkleuren en uiteindelijk afvallen.
