De installatieboor is zeer robuust en bedoeld voor bekistingen. Boor en schachteinde zijn vastgeschroefd, daardoor geringe kans op breuk en soepel boren. Geschikt voor bekistingswerk, planken, balken, gipsplaten, lichte bouwmaterialen, isolatiemateriaal en metaal, bijvoorbeeld metalen platen, sandwichmateriaal met staal, aluminium of profielplaat.

De cilindrische schacht van de boor is geschikt voor alle boormachines met een 13 mm boorkop.
