The Helm of Awe, also known as Ægishjálmur, is believed to possess potent protective qualities against evil or injustice. In historical contexts, warriors would paint this symbol on their heads, using it as a means to instill fear in their enemies and achieve success in battle.

This symbol can be visualized as eight arms or tridents extending from a central point, forming a shield-like pattern. These arms resemble the Maðr rune (Latin M or Mannaz) in the Younger Fuþark or the Elgr rune (Latin Z or Algiz) in the Elder Fuþark. The Maðr rune represents humanity, while the latter symbolizes an elk, with its horns embodying qualities such as courage, power, and the ability to defend against threats.

In the Fáfnismál poem from the Poetic Edda, the Helm of Awe is referenced as a powerful tool used by the dragon Fáfnir to protect his treasure from adversaries. This historical and symbolic context provides insights into the significance of Ægishjálmur in ancient beliefs and warfare practices.

Very bad
This guys are just an eye wash, they do not cover anything but will charge you. I bought Hand Blender and it broke in couple of months and I took 3 year protection from Asurion. When I contacted them about the issue, they said it is not started, go to manufacturer. I reached out to Amazon and they replaced it for me. Now again it broke. I reached out to asurion again. Now they say it is not contract. what is the point of having protection. Waste of time and money. I will not recommend this to anyone. This is a fraud protection.

It is worth purchasing a Protection Plan on an unfamiliar item
Bought a 3-year protection plan for a nut milk maker machine for $5.99. It was a fairly new kitchen item in our household and we were not familiar with the brand. So, I bought the plan for a piece (peace) of mind. The machine worked nicely for about 18-20 months with daily use until it tripped the circuit outlet. My initial chat with Asurion did not go as I expected due to discrepancy on their end as they see a protection plan for the nut milk maker as a sporting goods valued between $100-$199, not as a kitchen item valued between $30-$39.99. ( I had bought 3 different protection plan on th same day for multiple items purchased on Prime Days). They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan. I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS. Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.
