Description:
SHMT Assist is a product designed to support those with the SHMT variant which may cause “trapping” of folate and folinic acid and slow the creation of glycine, which is needed to make glutathione. This genetic variant may also slow the methylation cycle and neurotransmitter cycle and decrease folate availability for critical biological functions. It contains folate as (6S)-5-Methylfolate, L-glycine, Avian Albumin Extract (A.A.E.™), Lactoferrin, lithium orotate as well as CereCalase® which combines hemicellulase, beta-glucanase, and phytase to improve the bioavailability of nutrients, while also assisting in breakdown of phytic acid. This product is also appropriate for those with low glycine levels.
