The Yamaha PACS+11S Pacifica SC Standard Plus represents thoughtful evolution in a series of instruments that has inspired players for over 3 decades. This refreshed SC Standard Plus blends classic style with modern innovation for today's player seeking their own sound.
A 3-piece alder body is chambered using Yamaha's proprietary Acoustic Design Technology - a scientific process in which 3D modeling is used to devise wood-routing techniques to improve resonance and provide weight relief. From there the body is finished in gloss Ash Pink and receives the parchment 3-ply pickguard.
Next up, a rounded C satin maple neck joins the body with 4 bolts. The 25.5-inch scale length neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard and is crowned with 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets for easy playability.
The Pacifica's voice is amplified thanks to the Reflectone pickups that have been co-developed by Rupert Neve Designs. Configured in a traditional S-H setup, tones range from vintage twang to modern chunk. Tone can be refined further with the volume, tone, and Focus Switch controls along with the 3-way switch.
From there, high quality hardware keeps everything tight and responsive. Strings are loaded through the Gotoh compensated 3-saddle brass bridge and run through the Graph Tech TUSQ nut before finding their home in the Gotoh locking tuners.
Complete with a gig bag, the Yamaha Pacifica SC Standard Plus ticks all the boxes for an all around solid choice whether you're a seasoned pro or hobbyist looking for that new sound.
