A three-stage Inverted Darlington Amplifier drives high current signals with minimal distortion, so your content is just as clear and strong as the artists intended.

DYNAMIC INTERMODULATION DISTORTION REDUCTION CIRCUITRY (DIDRC)

Thanks to patented DIDRC circuitry (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry), the Onkyo A-50 Integrated Amplifier delivers a vivid yet smooth and comfortable sound from any musical source. DIDRC is a discrete signal control circuit designed to embody Onkyo’s sound philosophy, used in the analog filter of the DAC. DIDRC’s high slew-rate design reduces noise generated in very high frequency bands of digital sources, resulting in cleaner, clearer audio.

ALUMINUM FRONT PANEL

A 5mm-thick extruded aluminum front panel is used to increase rigidity and suppress vibration.

AN OVAL CHASSIS

The “oval chassis” with oval press lines strengthens the bottom surface and disperses vibration.

FAN-LESS DESIGN

Combined with a fan-less design that eliminates noise, a premium stereo DAC (32bit / 768kHz) that reduces distortion, and an extrusion aluminum heat sink for vibration suppression, this amplifier provides an exquisite and powerful sound.

HIGH QUALITY CAPACITORS

High-quality 10000uF capacitors custom-made exclusively for Onkyo, a copper bus bar, and rigid front panels further reduce vibration and signal degradation.

The A-50 has an output power of 180w(4Ω, 1kHz, THD 0.7%, 2ch driven) / 110w(8Ω, 20-20 kHz, THD 0.07%, 2ch driven). Although a single integrated amplifier, it can powerfully drive a variety of speakers, from large floorstanding speakers to small bookshelf speakers, maximizing each system’s potential.

Even after it warmed up, he still enjoyed chewing on the soft stuffed part and the tentacles. The product card says not to use it as a chew toy, so supervision is a must, but it held up just fine so far. Overall, this has been a big help during the teething phase — short-lived when frozen, but very effective while it lasts! And worth every penny to save my fingers from being a chew toy.
