Smappee Current Transformer(CT) 400A offers the most complete and comprehensive set of sensor and plug options available on the market allowing your company to lock in the level of accuracy, installation requirements and budget that best fits your specific needs.
Gather the most accurate energy data down to appliance level and find out more about appliances with a variable capacity. Simply attach the CT's right at the source by connecting the sensor to the cables you wish to measure. Once around the desired cables click the CT closed. It is important to pay attention to the direction of the arrow. The arrow needs to point in the direction of the energy flow. Then plug the cables(150cm in length) into the Smappee monitor. The device has Inputs of up to 1-9 ports. Depending on your electrical installation, you can measure up to multiple sub-circuits that consist of certain appliances or a group of appliances separately. The current transformers of your Smappee need to be carefully configured in order to get correct measurements.
The arrow indicated on the CT (K-> L) must point in the direction of the current flow:
- Consumption: away from the utility meter, towards the consumers (fuses).
- Solar: away from the inverter, towards the consumers.
