On 12 August 1940, during the Battle of Britain, in an engagement with Dornier Do 17s, Geoffrey Page was shot down into the English Channel, suffering severe burns. He spent much of the next two years in hospitals, undergoing plastic surgery, but recovered sufficiently to pursue an extremely distinguished war and post-war career. This eloquently written and critically acclaimed autobiography tells of his wartime exploits in the air and on the ground. He was a founder member of The Guinea Pig Club - formed by badly burnt aircrew - and this is a fascinating account of the club, of the courage and bravery of 'The Few', and of Geoffrey's later life and achievements, most particularly in the creation of The Battle of Britain memorial.

Our doggies favorite toy

This is our 3 dog’s favorite toy! We’ve had it for over a year, it’s lived outside for a while, was buried, found, taken all around the house. This toy shows up in the most random places and is still in tack (for the most part). They fight over this toy. They also have the pig from the same brand and it’s still alive! Other toys are usually shredded in a few days.

Not a strong toy for chewers.
Color: Yellow
Not quite as strong as its description. My dog chewed off its foot within the first 10 minutes . I expected it to be stronger because it’s made of Kevlar material but it’s not that durable. Save your money it is far from being durable / indestructible.

Keeps my dog busy and actually holds up
This jigsaw-style dog toy has been a game changer for keeping my dog entertained. The design is super versatile—you can spread peanut butter (or yogurt, wet food, etc.) into the grooves, and it keeps them busy licking for a long time.
What I like most is that it’s not just a lick mat—it’s also a durable chew toy. The material feels strong and holds up really well, even with a dog that usually destroys toys pretty quickly. Toys made from rubber or similar materials tend to last longer and are safer for chewing compared to softer options.
The grooves and compartments make it a little more challenging (in a good way), so it takes my dog longer to get through the treats. I’ve even tried freezing peanut butter inside, and that keeps them occupied even longer. Lick-style toys like this are great for slowing dogs down and keeping them calm and engaged.
It’s also been really helpful during times when I need a distraction—like when I’m busy, cleaning, or even during grooming.
