In collaboration with the Martin Custom Shop, we spec'd out this 00 28-style beauty to feature a 12-fret build and hand selected wood on its top, back, and sides to deliver a guitar that plays and looks equally well.

This guitar features a Grand Concert body style with a shallower body and rounded shoulders, plus a spruce top and scalloped X bracing, a pairing found in many of our Martin Custom shop creations. The back and sides of this Martin 00 are constructed with Wild Grain East Indian rosewood (EIR), the back of the body specifically showcasing why this wood is such a popular aesthetic choice in Martins, with a beautiful grain visible underneath its gloss finish. A stunning vintage style Zig-Zag style purfling runs the length of the back of the guitar, connecting two bookmatched halves and showcasing some symmetry to capture the eye.

Made from select hardwood, the neck of this Custom Shop 00 is cut to a Modified V shape, and features a slotted peghead at the top. Its fingerboard is cut from Ebony, and offers a tight grain and super dark color, topped by Diamond and Square inlays in a Short Pattern and made from abalone. The fingerboard also features 20 total frets, twelve of which are accessible between the nut and the neck joint.

Incorporating 28-style appointments, this guitar offers some eye-catching detail upgrades that up its aesthetic appeal even further, with antique white binding, as well as a style 28 Boltaron rosette. The body also features aging toner finish, which lends this 00- style Martin an appearance similar to that of pre-war vintage instruments.

This Custom Shop piece comes with a 5-ply custom hard case and is a shining example of the incredible instruments born from the collaborative relationship between Russo Music and Martin Custom Shop's builders.
