The late Beej Chaney was a dynamic performer with his unique vocals and 'Beej-tar' riff guitar style along with his fueled front man persona. He is best known as a founding member and creative force behind the group "The Suburbs."
The Suburbs rock n roll, punk-pop-art-dance sound are recognized worldwide as among the original heroes of the "Minneapolis Sound" Voted among the "100 Most Influential Minnesota Musical Entities of the Twentieth Century" by The Minneapolis Star Tribune, with dance-club hits like "Waiting" and "Music for Boys", and radio hits like "Life Is Like", "Rattle My Bones", and "Love is The Law." Beej Chaney died in January of 2025 in a tragic drowning accident.
"Shake It All Up" is the follow up to Robby Vee's critically acclaimed 2023 Album "Double Spin." Robby with a top 100 song (on the modern singles charts) is recognized by both the American & Canadian Rockabilly Hall of Fames and in 2022 he was recognized by the IRRMA for an Induction into the Iowa Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
A family tradition, versatile vocalist, guitar slinger & entertainer, Vee is known for combining elements of his vast repertoire telling stories that bridge the generation gap from "the roots of Rock n Roll to the new sounds of Americana music of today". - Vee has captured the attention of audiences and respected industry professionals both Nationally and Internationally. Claude Hall, radio-TV editor of Billboard magazine writes, "If this guy had been around during the era of Elvis, he would have given Elvis a run for his money."
