The Brunello Giovanni Neri is a flagship wine from Casanova di Neri, named after the winery s founder. This 100% Sangiovese wine comes from an ancient vineyard with vines over 50 years old, planted in prime Montalcino terroir. The 2019 vintage is described as bright ruby red in color, with aromas of cherry, white flowers, and red orange notes. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance of creaminess and juiciness, with prominent red berry flavors and a savory, pure finish. The wine undergoes manual harvesting and selection, fermentation with 20% whole clusters, and aging for 30 months in oak barrels followed by 22 months in bottles. With 15% alcohol by volume, this Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is expected to improve further with bottle aging.
