The heel is knitted in ribbed heel stitch which creates a durable, cushioned heel and is a more defined rib variation of the traditional heel stitch.  This pattern suitable for men and women of average sized feet. The length of the sock is easily adjusted for any foot.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Signature 4-Ply by West Yorkshire Spinners (75% British Wool / 25% Nylon; 100g/437yds): 1 Skein for all Women's sizes.  Shown in the Candy Cane color.  The multicolored, speckled yarns create a Fair Isle pattern; please click the link above to see how they work up.

NEEDLES: Size US 1.5 / 2.5mm & US 2 / 3mm Double Pointed Needles, 9" Circular or larger, or size needed to obtain gauge
OTHER TOOLS: Stitch markers, stitch holders (optional), tapestry needle
GAUGE: 28 sts x 28 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch, worked in the round.  It is essential to work the stated gauge to ensure correct sizing.
