EASY INSTALLATION - You don't need to be a professional technician to install this antenna. It's so easy, you can do it yourself in a minute! Simply unscrew your old antenna and hand-screw in the new Ronin Factory antenna.
ANTI-THEFT - The original TuffLock antenna design. This item used to be branded as our TuffLock antenna as we had previously used thread-lock on the antenna threads to help prevent theft. Since we now have our new premium line of Ronin SmartLock antenna it is redundant to have 2 versions of anti-theft antennas. We are phasing out of the threadlock on the antenna threads which will make it easier to remove in the future. Phase out will happen between 2025-2026 so your antenna may still come with threadlock. If you don't want the threadlock, you can always wipe it off. You'll now be able to easily remove the antenna without issues if you would like. We recommend the premium Ronin SmartLock antenna if you are worried about theft and wish to have the other additional features that the Ronin SmartLock antenna provides.
PREMIUM MATERIALS - No plastic used in this antenna! High grade silicone, brass, stainless steel and Military Grade anodized aluminum ensure that this antenna will last through all of your adventures! Fade resistant (may fade after long exposure to sunlight, SmartLock antennas have enhanced fade-proof coating)
RADIO SIGNAL STRENGTH - The longer the antenna, the better strength. Thus our 8 inch antenna will provide medium strength reception compared to our 12" Antenna. Note that it may not be as good of reception as the 36" long OEM antenna that comes on your truck. Rest assured that this will not negatively affect either XM, Bluetooth or Satellite radio
