Why shouldn’t I take Microb-Clear® for longer than 1 - 2 months?

Because Microb-Clear can cause a decrease in unwanted bacterial populations and mucus, these must be metabolized and excreted. This can be an added burden to liver function. Furthermore, while Microb-Clear® is relatively sparing of beneficial probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract, taking it for an extended period of time could cause undue stress on the beneficial gut microflora.^†

Is Microb-Clear® safe for children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding mothers?

In my clinic, I will occasionally use Microb-Clear® with older children and teenagers, however, I always recommend working with your child’s pediatrician or other qualified healthcare provider before deciding to use it. For breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women, I do not generally recommend it in these cases, and again recommend working with your doctor, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider before making the decision to include Microb-Clear in any supplement protocol while expecting or nursing.

What time of day should I take Microb-Clear®? Should I take it with or without food? 

I suggest Microb-Clear® be taken twice daily; two capsules each time. When I use Microb-Clear®, I generally take it in the morning on an empty stomach along with my supplemental thyroid hormone. I take my next dose between lunch and dinner. If you’re taking a probiotic, be sure to take it at least two hours before or after either dose of Microb-Clear® for optimal results.

Can Microb-Clear® be taken by those with a diagnosed nut allergy?

My Microb-Clear® formula contains an extract from black walnut hulls. While the extract used is harvested from the hull (shell) of the nut, due to the nature of the extraction process itself, there is no way to know with certainty that the extract is 100% free of the actual allergenic protein in walnuts. While it’s unlikely that the extract does contain allergenic components of walnut, I urge you to err on the side of caution and recommend clients with nut allergies not take this product before getting approval from their doctors or allergists.
