Unlike the majority of Dussek's symphonies the present work can be dated with some accuracy. The wrapper of the sole-surviving set of parts, formerly belonging to Count Pachta and now in the possession of the Narodn Muzeum in Prague (shelfmark Pachta XXII C 159) is dated 1763: "? 5 I763 (incipit) / in G / Sinfonia / a / Due Violini / Due Corni / Due oboe obl: / Due Violle obl: / e / Basso / di Francesco Duschek". The parts are unattractive, cramped and very sloppily copied. There are numerous careless slips, inconsistencies and desperate corrections; they do not look like the work of a professional copyist. The symphony G4 may represent a relatively early work. It is cast in three movements and in its use of pairs of obbligato oboes and violas betrays strong Viennese influences. In the absence of the autograph score and an authentic set of parts the edition presents as faithfully as possible the intentions of the composer as transmitted in this source. The style and notation of articulation and dynamic markings have been standardised throughout, and, where missing from the source, markings reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets. Like most eighteenth-century sources, the present manuscript is very inconsistent in its notation of appoggiature; these too have been standardised to minimise confusion. Obvious wrong notes have been corrected without comment; editorial emendations with no authority from the source are placed within brackets. Allan Badley

At Last! A Grinder That Can Grind Flaxseed!!!
Color: Silver single
I'm so excited -- my search for a manual flaxseed grinder is over! After spending countless hours -- nay, days & weeks! -- searching for a simple, manual spice grinder that worked well for flaxseeds, I found this little $7 gem! Just got it today & immediately tested it out... with GREAT results! At first I was disappointed to see that the grinding mechanism is plastic, but it sure did the job! It has a little dial to adjust the coarseness, which is nice. Also love that the container is glass; and larger than I thought. Easy to refill & I expect it'll be easy to clean. I think the ease of grinding will depend on how tightly or loosely you adjust the dial; at its tightest, I couldn't twist it at all, but loosening it allowed me to use it easily and it still gave me a fine grind. Highly recommend it... can't beat the value!

Pepper grinder works as expected, I'm concerned about its long-term durability.

Good product, grounds pepper as expected. I was almost surprised that the grinder is plastic rather than metal. I'm not sure of its long-term durability

Perfect

Excellent salt grinder This ceramic grinder surprised me for its good quality. The design is very elegant, with the stainless steel part and the glass jar that allows you to easily see how much product is left inside. It feels solid and well built. The ceramic grinding mechanism works very smoothly and crushes the salt evenly. In addition, it is easy to refill and clean, which is very practical to use in the kitchen every day. It has a perfect size: it does not take up much space but has good capacity. Without a doubt it is a very useful and beautiful product for the table or the kitchen. I totally recommend it!
