This Texas Mesquite block will produce a beautiful 4" to 5" diameter bowl, with a depth of about 3". The color is the deep reddish brown of Mesquite heartwood, with a thin rim of sapwood along one face. The heartwood grain is mostly linear to gently curving. The block is slightly irregularly shaped, with the top (annotated) surface being at an angle. That top surface is 4. 2" along one face

The color is the deep reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood, with a thin rim of sapwood along one face. The heartwood grain is mostly linear to gently curving. The block is slightly irregularly shaped, with the top (annotated) surface being at an angle. That top surface is 4.2" along one face and 5.5" along the other face. There are several during-growth cracks present, from when the tree was stressed and cracked by wind while growing. These have spalted nicely and may need some stabilizing while turning. The starter that I ordered was exactly what the description said. The starter fit my car and it is now running again.
There is just one thing that did not happen with this order. I ordered this paticular part because it stated if you order within the next 4 hours it will be delivered between 4am and 8 am howwver it was not delivered ubtil 4:30 pm.
