Dallas, Texas-based rapper BigXthaPlug (also home to the legendary The D.O.C.) is larger than life.  He started dropping singles and Mixtapes in 2019 and released his debut album Amar in 2023.  He has been featured on other Texas rappers' albums by That Mexican OT and Sauce Walka, and his song "The Largest" gained national attention after being featured in Texas-based Wingstop's commercial. His latest album, Take Care, was released on all DSPs in October of 2024 and is finally getting a CD release. 

The lead track flips the same Willie Hutch sample used by Three 6 Mafia on "Stay Fly" with 8Ball & MJG and Young Buck. Flipping soul and funk tracks mixed with Trap beats is the signature sound of Take Care, courtesy of lead producer Tony Coles. Take Care delves deeply into the psyche of BigXThaPlug, capturing the evolving emotions and complexities that come with fame and personal relationships. With raw vulnerability, the album authentically portrays his inner struggles and triumphs. Listening from start to finish feels like an intimate therapy session-not just with BigX, but with the culture he represents. Themes of mental health, fame, politics, love, and loyalty are woven throughout, brought to life by powerful imagery, activations, and, most importantly, the music itself.
