subject. McLean examines the workings of public choice from two
related perspectives - collective action and the aggregation of
individual preferences into social consensus.
The book highlights the paradox at the heart of collective
action- that self-interest in the public domain is frequently
counterproductive. National defense and clean air are things we all
benefit from - they are public goods - but we tend to resist
contributing to them. The first part of this book examines how
government choice in such areas is shaped, and by whom- political
entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, interest groups and ordinary citizens.
McLean uses the idea of a public market in which politicians sell
what they hope voters will buy, and further considers how and when
people (and animals) co-operate to produce public goods even
without government coercion. In the second part of the book the
author examines the consequences of combining individual
preferences, arguing that there is no straightforward way of adding
them up to form a 'social ordering' and assesing the implications
of this both for electoral reform and for the status of 'the will
of the people'.

Fits perfectly for my 2017 VW Passat

Bought this for a fraction of the cost. An auto shop wanted to charge me $72.99 for a filter so I bought this Spearhead brand cabin filter and its the perfect size and its just as sturdy as the previous one the dealership had in the car. Not sure yet how the airflow is or if anything different as I have not driven in the car since it was replaced, but it appears to be a very high quality cabin filter for my car at a great price.

Good Quality Replacement for Lexus

Was a perfect fit for my 2016 Lexus NX200t. No tools required. Total of 5 minutes to install. Airflow is good after replacement and the activated charcoal seems to make a difference in reducing any smells from outside. Recommended.

Economical, easy to install, and does the job!

First, depending on your car model, replacing your cabin air filter is VERY easy.
With that out of the way, the shop wanted to charge almost 65 dollars to replace my cabin air filter. Decided to just buy one and do it myself. The only downside of waiting is that the air inside the car is not as fresh/clean when you're running your air. Anyways, you can usually get these kinds of filters between 20-45 dollars from auto part shops depending on the brand and features. I've used this brand and filter for the past 3 replacements on my car and they last just as long and filter just as well from my experience. No issues installing, and does in fact do a good job of filtering outside odors.
Highly recommended for the price!

DIY!!
Bought this cabin air filter for my 2015 Honda CR-V and it fit perfectly. Installation was super easy and only took a few minutes. I immediately noticed the air coming through the vents smelled cleaner. No need to have it replaced for you. Definitely worth it if you want an affordable replacement that gets the job done.
