The Apple MacBook Air 13" (2025) with the Apple M4 chip features a 10-core CPU, including 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores, paired with an 8-core GPU. It supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and includes a 16-core Neural Engine. The chip also delivers an impressive 120GB/s memory bandwidth. For users needing more graphical power, it can be configured with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU.

The Media Engine includes hardware-accelerated support for H.264, HEVC, ProRes, and ProRes RAW. It also features a video decode engine, a video encode engine, a ProRes encode and decode engine, and support for AV1 decode.

This model comes with a Liquid Retina display, measuring 13.6 inches diagonally. It is an LED-backlit display with IPS technology, offering a native resolution of 2560-by-1664 at 224 pixels per inch. It supports 500 nits of brightness, 1 billion colors, Wide color (P3), and True Tone technology.The device includes 24GB of configured memory by default and can be configured to 32GB of memory depending on user needs.

The battery supports up to 18 hours of video streaming and up to 15 hours of wireless web usage. It contains a built-in 53.8‑watt‑hour lithium‑polymer battery. Charging options include a 30W USB-C Power Adapter (included with the M4 featuring an 8‑core GPU) and a 35W Dual USB-C Port Compact Power Adapter (included with the M4 with 10‑core GPU; also configurable with the 8‑core GPU version). A USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable is also included, and the device is fast-charge capable with a 70W USB-C Power Adapter.

The base model includes a 512GB SSD, which can be configured to 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB based on storage requirements.

The device offers a MagSafe 3 charging port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports. These ports support charging, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40 Gbps), and USB 4 (up to 40 Gbps).

Wireless support includes Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.3 for fast, reliable connections.

A 12MP Center Stage front-facing camera supports Desk View and 1080p HD video recording, ideal for video conferencing and creative work.

The audio system includes a four-speaker setup with support for Spatial Audio when playing music or videos with Dolby Atmos on built-in speakers. It also supports Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking when using compatible AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max. Additionally, it features a 3.5mm headphone jack with advanced support for high-impedance headphones.
