An Adirondack spruce top of authentic thickness harmonizes perfectly with sinker mahogany back and sides—a pairing that's as easy on the eyes as it is on the ears. "Golden Era" scalloped X Bracing of 1/4" Adirondack spruce allows the top to vibrate more freely while reinforcing the body, ensuring stability.
This Martin Custom Shop model features understated yet stylish ornamentation with Old Style 18 abalone inlays resting elegantly on a black ebony fingerboard. The selection of abalone gives a nod to the iconic traditional aesthetics of the 18-style design.
The neck is carved to a Modified Low Oval profile, making it super comfortable in the hand and a dream to play. A 16" fingerboard radius complements the 20 standard frets, making for an effortless playing experience along the 24.9" scale length.
Purely acoustic, this Martin Custom Shop beauty relies on its inherent tonal qualities without the need for any electronics. A modern belly ebony bridge with a drop-in compensated bone saddle ensures ideal string spacing and intonation.
