Black Walnut Block BW442x 2.5" x 2.7" x 6" 1.2 lbs. This is a beautiful end-grain Black Walnut block. It is mostly heartwood with a straight grain that's been cut slightly inclined to the long axis of the board, giving it diagonal grain on the faces. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker-brown grain. This piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other significant flaws. This piece has been planed on three sides (S3S) but may still have some rough patches or minor surface imperfections. One side is a wane edge as shown in the photos -- this was from the outer surface of the log, under the bark. We carry multiples of this block size, so the photos may not represent the block you will receive. They are all similar in character and will be beautiful to work with. |

It is not the most comfortable fabric which makes it not suitable for summer clothing. Also, the fitting of the neck doesn’t look good since material is not wrinkle free
