This is an outstanding end-grain Black Walnut block. It is all heartwood that's been air-dried to maintain the natural coloration. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker-brown grain. Air-dried Black Walnut is so much prettier than kiln-dried, and this piece is a real beauty.

This block has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. This piece has been planed on four sides (S4S). As you can see one corner has a void -- this void measures about 3" long by 1.5" wide and 1" deep. You could choose to fill with epoxy or simply turn it off if working on the lathe.

This piece has a few tight knots; they have with no visible cracks or open space on any that I can see externally. They give a beautiful swirl to the grain.

Time release is the best way
I like these time released tablets. Time release is surprisingly hard to find unlike the immediate release style tablets. Time release allows for a longer sleep pattern as it enters the blood stream slowly over time allowing it to stay in you system. Immediate release will hit you hard and fast but your body will metabolize within a couple of hrs leaving you without the melatonin in you system. I took off a star for being pricey, but these do work very well.

Source Naturals Melatonin is the best!
