Author: Fiona Farrell Publisher: Otago University Press
Publication Date: 29-10-2020
One of New Zealand’s most versatile writers, Fiona Farrell has published four collections of poetry over 25 years, from Cutting Out (1987) to The Broken Book (2011). Noun, verbs, etc. collects the best work from these books, and intersperses them with other poems thus far â€uncollected’. The themes are wide ranging: political and personal, regional and global, including love and birth and death, war and emigration, history and landscape. The poems mix lyricism with the flat and plainspoken mode of Kiwi vernacular; they channel voices infrequently heard in poetry in traditional song and ballad forms. They are well crafted but unpretentious, jokey yet illuminating, self-deprecating but wise, sad and funny and deeply human. Fiona Farrell’s poems look light and lyrical and tidy on the page, which is the way they manage the storms of feeling that race along their lines. These are poems that know how much we yearn for terra firma yet how often we must deal with broken things. They care about family. They speak against injustice. They also know how to rescue the heart and let it sing. – Bill Manhire

Good buy
Color: Turquoise
I was unsure about the color of the purse, but it is as pictured! Bright vibrant color, multiple compartments ( my favorite), good quality.

Not long lasting
Color: White, Color: White
I reaaalllly liked this purse (while it lasted). Bought in Dec 2024 & just broke today in May 2025. So I got 5 months out this purse, give or take. It’s definitely cute, had plenty of pockets, but will not hold up in the long run, especially if you tend to load your purse full of heavier items (which I do).
The handle broke right off at the metal connection. Such a bummer; it’s completely unusable now unless I put on the long shoulder strap - which I do not like the look or feel of those kinds of purses so Oh Well.

Beautiful hand bag but space is quite limited
Color: Purple
Everyone that sees me with this purse tells me that they love it. I love the color and design however, the one thing that I dislike about it is that it's size doesn't work well for any person who carries more then a wallet and checkbook. By the time you get a pair of reading glasses in it with your cell phone space is at a premium. If you are doing any type of daily traveling and you have to put mediation in your purse, it's a tight squeeze. Personally, this should be called an "evening bag" because this doesn't provide enough room for daily use and I certainly wouldn't call it a tote.

The cool duffle bag
Color: Tan
great bag, plenty of room, good looking style and worth the money. It looks like an expensive bag and I get many comments on it. Where did you get that bag. And it looks great if you are dressed to go out or if you are dressed down.

Color: Grey
Very nice style, feel and love the color. Bigger than what I needed but certainly works for ladies who need and like larger purses.
