The Gibson Custom Shop is a premier player in the production of some of the finest electric guitars produced today. At the absolute cutting edge of innovation while remaining fully reverent and authentic to the Gibson name, the instruments produced are all stellar examples of fine musical craftsmanship at work – audibly and visually.

The Les Paul has never lost its luster. The 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is the product of tireless effort, technical prowess, and a fine ear for a classic tone. With historically-accurate construction methods and specifications, the Les Paul Standard Reissue is an incredibly accurate recreation of the original Les Pauls crafted in 1959.

Gibson '59 Les Paul Standard Specs

Starting off with high-quality materials and painstaking construction, the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue features a 2-piece plain maple top with a 1-piece lightweight mahogany back. The two woods put together are shaped in the classic single-cutaway body and fit easily into the hands of any player. A solid mahogany "Authentic '59 Medium C"-shaped neck is streamlined to travel from the higher to lower frets of the Indian Rosewood fingerboard, which features Historic Gibson Medium Jumbo frets. Along with this careful construction, the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue comes equipped with two Custombucker Alnico 3 unpotted pickups that summon all the iconic tones widely known and universally adored.

The finish on the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a first in Gibson Custom Shop design. From the Gibson Custom Shop's newest division, the Murphy Lab, the finish on this 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is specially engineered to replicate the properties of Gibson's original Nitrocellulose Lacquer used in the 1950s and 1960s. Pioneered by Gibson Master Artisan Tom Murphy, this 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue features an Ultra Light Aged finish treatment. This scientifically engineered process and finish simulates decades of light play wear that makes the guitar look and feel well-worn and well-loved from the first time it is picked up. The finish is a completely new development and gives the Les Paul Standard Reissue a new but greatly familiar look and feel.

Other features that make the Gibson Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard a masterwork in authentic historic guitar design include an ABR-1 bridge, a lightweight aluminum stop bar tailpiece, and aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid fret inlays. A mounted Custom Shop switch plate medallion, reissue switch backplate, and certificate of authenticity are all included with an official Gibson hardshell case. Every piece of the Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is fully outfitted and dressed to the nines for an authentic Gibson experience every time it is picked up and played. Altogether, the Gibson Les Paul Standard 1959 Sunrise Tea Burst is a dream of an instrument, presented as if picked straight from 1959.

Historically accurate and tonally iconic, the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue readies players for a new lifetime of exceptional musical history.

Works well has plenty of pressure.
It is a great device, a bit awkward to use over a bowl sink, but with some minor adjustment of the nozzle, it works well. It appears to be as effective as most water picks and I like not having to fool with a hose, that can break.

Needed replacement, 2nd one works OK
The first one I received had a broken latching mechanism. Not a shipping issue, as the box was fine, it just wouldn't latch the attachments because the mechanism wouldn't come all the way out. After getting a replacement the 2nd one worked better. It has 3 settings for soft, normal, and pulse. For me, the normal put out the best force for clearing out bits. After washing with it for about 30 seconds though I still don't feel it cleans we well as real floss, or even a waterpik, but it does help after brushing. I will add it to my routine as it does help flush out some things, but it won't be replacing my flossing. It is sort of portable, in that can be packed away and holds a charge, but it's still pretty large and takes up a good amount of space in a toiletry bag. It's not bad, but not really outstanding either.

I like this better than my name brand unit
🔵 Features: The water pick boasts a generously sized reservoir, which is a standout feature. It also comes with a convenient USB charger, offers 3 speed settings (normal, soft, and pulse), and features quick and easy detachable heads. 🔵 Power: In terms of power, comparing it to my current unit revealed no noticeable differences in pressure or volume to the naked eye. Both units effortlessly deliver a stream of water up to 12 feet. 🔵 Heads: The water pick includes a plethora of heads, more than most people would likely need. Personally, I would have preferred a lifetime supply of the simple angled head picks, but the variety provided caters to all preferences. 🔵 Overall: After using it for a few days, I found that it performs admirably. When placed side by side with my old unit, I consistently reach for the 7AM2M unit, primarily due to its larger reservoir. In all other aspects, I find them comparable, and I wholeheartedly recommend this water pick to others.

Well designed portable water flosser that's holding up so far
There are a number of such portable water flossers on Amazon, but this is one of the better ones IMO. The water pressure is adequate, with enough settings to allow you to ramp up (or keep using on a lower setting if desired). One nice feature is that the tank detaches easily and this makes filling under a tap easier than other units which don't have an easily detached tank. The tank shape is also a bit fatter so it's not too long along any one dimension. The tank capacity of 300 ml is adequate for a single use. The standard suite of flosser heads are included - flossing itself, peridontal, and one for braces. The tongue cleaner attachment is also there but I prefer to use a separate tongue cleaner tool. Charging is via USB-C and while the port isn't super water proof, there's no damage to the unit yet. Battery life is typical at about 20-30 days with twice a day usage.
