If it sounds unconventional, that’s because it is. For his debut album, producer/DJ/music supervisor J.PERIOD has created a musical storybook. Set to be released in chapters, each entry stands as its own musical event while fitting together as part of a larger story. The first, Story to Tell (Chapter One), with cover art by Dan Lish includes the lead single “All in Your Head” featuring Dave Chappelle, Black Thought, and Tiffany Gouché. The three are part of an all-star cast that also includes such disparate artists as Lin-Manuel Miranda and Joell Ortiz.

Renowned for his mixtape work with Nas, Lauryn Hill, C.L. Smooth, and others, J.PERIOD produced Story to Tell (Chapter One) while juggling his work as Music Supervisor for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, holding a founding seat on The Kennedy Center’s Hip Hop Culture Council, and working on other musical projects, of course. - FLOOD MAGAZINE

Great quality for the price!
Color: Glistening Bronze
This body shimmer oil gives a really nice sun-kissed glow without looking overly glittery. The shimmer is subtle and smooth, so it catches the light in a flattering way instead of looking chunky or artificial. It works especially well on areas like the shoulders, collarbones, and legs for that summer glow effect. The texture is lightweight and absorbs nicely into the skin. Glowy but not sure about the spf
Color: Glistening Bronze
My first impression was that this works more like a basic body shimmer than anything else. The Glistening Bronze shade gives a noticeable glow, especially on arms and shoulders. It spreads easily and adds a warm shimmer in the light, but the overall effect feels pretty simple and more cosmetic than skincare focused. In use, the oil blends in smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It does leave a bit of moisture behind, similar to a light body oil, and the shimmer shows up well outdoors. The bronze tone is fairly deep, so it seems better suited for medium to darker skin tones or anyone who wants a stronger bronzed glow. The product mentions SPF 45, but there is very little information about the sun protection side of it, so I personally treat this more like a shimmer oil than a sunscreen. Overall, this is fine if you are mainly looking for a body shimmer that adds glow and a bronzed look. It does the job of giving skin a subtle shine and a bit of hydration, but it does not stand out as anything particularly special. I would recommend it mostly for people who want a simple shimmering body oil rather than relying on it for sun protection.
