The dimensions are exactly the same as Brambleberrys 5 lb mold that has a liner available, therefor it is compatible with their silicone liner. We only sell the mold, you need to purchase the liner from them if you are interested in using it. We line ours with butcher paper and also use with liner, depending on the shape of soap we want. The liber creates a more squared soap where as a lined mold

The liber creates a more squared soap where as a lined mold will give you a slightly larger soap, shaped as a rectangle.
The Birch wood choice is mainly because this wood can withstand heat better, does not warp, is always nice looking and shaved and conducta heat more evenly.
