It has gorgeous grain and hints of spalting. The color is a warm brown that is rather, well, peachy! It has a minor branch coming off the back of the blank, about mid way up. UFO Peach Bowl Blank Ph-433 3" x 7.5" x 12.5" 5.5 lbs. This is a sizeable bowl blank of Texas-grown UFO Peach wood. It has gorgeous grain and hints of spalting. The color is a warm brown that is rather, well, peachy! It has a minor branch coming off the back of the blank, about mid-way up. There is some very pretty swirling grain associated with the branch / crotch area at mid-block. You may be able to turn several small bowls or other pieces out of this blank if you cut it in half. There is some spalting and bug-assisted decay, but the wood has plenty of integrity. There are also some moderate-sized drying checks starting to appear, despite the block being well-sealed with Anchor Seal. (Fruit tree wood tends to want to crack as it dries). You may want to touch up with CA glue as you turn. This wood was from a tree grown in Katy, Texas. It died during the Valentine's Day freeze of 2021. We cut and sealed it with Anchor Seal shortly after it died, then let it rest and spalt for about a year before processing it. We have very limited quantities of this unusual-to-Texas wood. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried bowl blank, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed on all surfaces with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying. It has been heat-treated to eliminate any gnawing critters. It was measured at ~25% MC in May 2022. Necessary
Size: 1 X Pack of 180
Let me pre-empt this with I’m single and travel a ton, so dishes and silverware don’t suit my lifestyle (don’t judge me I’m here to help) so these can be used just as well as stainless or silver cutlery. Very durable. Beware that they may show up with the lid not in tact, causing a small or moderate amount of them to bridge the container. Still, very much worth it.

High Quality

I'm so happy with this purchase because this set is very high quality and sturdy. I also like the container it comes in because it's very convenient to set out on a table for guests. I don't quite understand why there are less knives than forks because if you use this for a get together, most people will take one of each, so then you're left with a lot of forks. But then that container comes in handy for storing them! :)

Good size and sturdy

I was worried about ordering these online but took the chance and they are perfect. Perfect size and sturdy. Meaning they are very close to the size of my regular silverware and they don't break when trying to cut something with the side of the fork etc.
