More: The leaves display a soft, silvery sheen upon emergence and mature to green as the season progresses. The crushed leaves are fragrant and the foliage continues to look good in and out of flower. May self sow if happy, a hearty, adaptable addition to the woodland garden. Fun fact: Saruma is an anagram of Asarum (the foliage is reminiscent of wild gingers such as our Asarum canadense.)
