Featuring period-accurate specifications, this reissue captures the tone, feel, and aesthetic of one of the most pivotal years in P Bass history.
Alder was the body wood of choice for many early ‘60s Precision Basses, delivering a balanced tonal foundation with warmth, clarity, and punch. The hard rock maple neck is shaped into a substantial yet comfortable 1960 "C" profile, finished with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer for an authentic vintage feel. A slab rosewood fingerboard, complete with a 7.25-inch radius and 20 vintage-tall frets, enhances playability while maintaining the era’s signature response. Clay dot inlays and reverse open-gear tuning machines further reinforce the historically accurate construction.
The heart of this model is the Pure Vintage ‘60 split-coil Precision Bass pickup, meticulously voiced to reproduce the deep, growling low end and articulate midrange that defined countless recordings.
