The Gretsch Jim Dandy Parlor reminds of a historic line of instruments, the mail order catalog "Rex" line from the '30s, '40s, and '50s. Gretsch's Jim Dandy acoustic guitar models assume the form and capture the charm of early Gretsch guitars with great playability and an authentic tone.
Coming together in a short-scaled parlor-shaped body made of laminated sapele, its back, sides, and top produces a woody and rich tone with great projection and a vintage-framed sound. Playability is also prioritized with a neck and fingerboard combo of nato and walnut, respectively. The neck's semi-gloss finish and "C"-shaped profile aligns with a walnut fingerboard with twenty Vintage-sized frets. In addition to its sound and playability, this parlor's authenticity and aesthetics bloom with a vintage-style walnut bridge, vintage-style die-cast tuning machines, and a single-ply pickguard with a "G" graphic. Ready for taking hold of a mid-century feel and sound, this Gretsch offers new routes for achieving that authenticity.
