Skyjacker's ADX M2.0 shocks dampen out (control) the unwanted oscillation motion to improve handling and ride quality. ADX M2.0 will optimize your suspension by keeping your tires in contact with the terrain. Engineered for higher speed applications, but still perform great at a crawl. Truthfully, we actually spend way more time on our daily commutes than we spend on the trails. The commutes are neither smooth surfaces or free of obstacles. Quick starts, up and down acceleration and hard stops are a daily routine. The ADX M2.0 shocks separate the nitrogen gas from the oil with an Internal Floating Piston (IFP). ADX M2.0 constant controlled resistance performance prevents lag (decline) or fade (failure). The high-pressure nitrogen gas and IFP technology combine to create the fastest responding shock ever. The 46mm (1.81 Inch) large bore size design reacts quicker and creates the smoothest ride possible. The Teflon banded piston's smooth reaction delivers a superior ride and adds stability on any terrain. Impact extruded CNC machined T6061-T6 aluminum monotube dissipates heat and runs cooler versus traditional steel-bodied shocks. The overall weight of the aluminum body is lighter as well. The superior construction of Skyjacker's ADX M2.0 will conquer off-road and on-road challenges through all manners of terrain, obstacles and extreme weather. It’s incumbent on responsible people to understand the tactics of information warfare, because, “[recent Senate hearings] showed that our leaders had little grasp on the greatest existential threat to American democracy,” said Leigh Giangreco in the Washington Post. These ill-intentioned manipulators understand the human brain is hard-wired for certain reactions: to believe in conspiracy theories (“Obama isn’t an American”); to be gratified when we receive approval (“likes”!); to be drawn to views we agree with (“confirmation bias”). If we feel compelled to weigh in on some bit of propaganda or false information, social media algorithms see this attention and elevate the issue—“trending!”—so that our complaints only add to the virality of disinformation and lies. “Just as the internet has reshaped war, war is now radically reshaping the internet,” the authors say. Contrary to the optimism of the Silicon Valley entrepreneurs who saw social media as a positive, democratizing force, this new technology is being used to destructive effect at many levels of society. At a local scale, for example, it bolsters gang violence in Chicago; at a national scale, it contributed to the election of fringe politicians; at a regional scale, it facilitated the emergence of ISIS; and at an international scale, it undergirds the reemergence of repressive political movements in many countries. How to be a responsible citizen in this chaos? Like it or not, “we’re all part of this war,” the authors say, “and which side succeeds depends in large part on how much the rest of us learn to recognize this new warfare for what it is” and how ready we are for what comes next.

Out of Control with Technology

I found the book very interesting! The authors did a great job of discussing the benefits of different social media sites. While the sites were intended for good use, there is always a downside. Each of the sites were exploited over time for a use other than intended. While this is by no means a surprise, it is amazing how others were quick to use the sites for illegal purposes. The history of how some of the sites were developed was interesting too. Of additional interest was the amount of notes included in the book. A third of the book is devoted to this alone. It shows the level of thoroughness the authors took to allow readers to delve deeper into topics discussed in each chapter. The most pressing question for social media: What is the next level of advancement?
