Proefnotitie: Diep robijnrood van kleur met paarse invloeden. In de neus geconcentreerde aroma’s van donker fruit, pruimen, bramen en specerijen. De smaak is vol, rond en sappig, met een bijzondere elegantie en een oneindige afdronk. De onderscheidende kenmerken van deze wijn zijn de tonen van kruiden, witte peper en gedroogde bloemen, die hem onderscheiden en een uniek karakter geven.

Achtergrondinformatie: De ultieme icoonwijn en het paradepaardje van Podere Il Carnasciale. Met de Il Caberlot nam de familie Rogosky de gok om de Caberlot druif aan te planten op de idyllische kleine wijngaard Il Caberlot. Een grote gok, aangezien nog nooit was van gemaakt van Caberlot en niemand wist wat eruit zou komen. Toch besloten ze de gok te wagen; en de rest is geschiedenis. Doorgaans geproduceerd als Magnum; een van de ‘grootse’ ideeën van oprichter Wold Rogosky. Podere Il Carnasciale wordt al jaren gerund door de familie Rogosky. Volgens de visie van zijn vader & oprichter van het wijnhuis, Wolf Rogosky, runt Moritz Rogosky het landgoed met trots. Met een eigen oenoloog, wijnmaker en agronoom, samen met de creatieve benadering van het maken van unieke Toscaanse wijnen, produceert Podere Il Carnasciale het jaar in jaar uit wijnen van absolute topkwaliteit. Het wijnhuis ligt in het ‘koelere’ deel van Toscane: in het zuidelijke Chianti-gebergte in de regio Vald'Arno di Sopra, in het midden van de gouden driehoek tussen Florence, Siena en Arezzo. Dit gebied wordt al meer dan 300 jaar erkent voor zijn specificiteit en kwaliteit.
Moritz Rogosky gaat nog iets verder in die specificiteit; Podere Il Carnasciale is het enige wijnhuis in heel Italië dat werkt met de Caberlot-variëteit. Een ras dat officieel niet bestaat, maar waarvan de unieke eigenschappen over de hele wereld worden erkend. De druif heeft de vorm, structuur en kleur van een Cabernet Franc, maar deels de karakteristieke smaken van een Merlot. Het vermoeden leeft dan ook dat de Caberlot-druif een kruising van de twee variëteiten kan zijn. Met veel zorg en vakmansschap voor detail, precisie en kwaliteit komen er fantastische wijnen voort vanuit de Caberlot-druif. Unieke wijnen, die alleen door Podere Il Carnasciale op de markt gebracht worden.

I have an adjustable-height desk (also purchased from Amazon) and needed a drafting chair for those times when my body gets tired of standing. This chair fits the bill and then some! The depth of the seat on this chair is just a little over 18 inches, and with the adjustable footrest ring, it's perfect. I don't think a tall or heavy person would fit in it, to be honest. But it's perfect for those of us who are vertically challenged. I love that it glides easily on my hardwood floors and that it turns 360 degrees. The chair comes in numerous luscious colors, so take your pick! It is very sturdy, has good lumbar support, and the seat and seat back are very comfortable. And the arms flip up, which was an absolute must when I was shopping for this chair. I got it on sale, too -- $109.00 -- and I'm delighted with this purchase.
