The Journeyman series, renowned for its moderate relic appearance, offers an antique allure without an excessively aged look.
This '60 Telecaster is constructed with a 2-piece alder body, a favored tonewood for its balanced sound spectrum. The neck, crafted from quarter-sawn AA flamed maple, adopts a '60 Style Oval "C" profile, offering a versatile grip for an array of play styles. The AAA rosewood fingerboard, featuring a slab board flat lam construction and 9.50" radius, is graced with 6105 narrow tall frets and white micarta dot inlays.
The guitar houses hand-wound '58 Tele pickups at the bridge and neck, relic-ed to mirror the vintage theme. These pickups emulate the classic Tele twang, rich in vintage warmth. A trio of controls, including a 3-way selector, master volume, and master tone, allows a broad tonal palette.
The body sports a Sage Green Metallic finish in nitro lacquer, subjected to the Custom Shop's Journeyman Relic process. This finish imparts a gently aged aesthetic, akin to a guitar that's graced countless stages yet remained well-tended. The Journeyman treatment features lacquer checking with minor nicks and dings. The neck lacquer, tinted medium, bears a heavy relic treatment on the back, enhancing the vintage appeal and playability.
