MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. Meh.
Worked great the first couple of times it was used. But then it stopped cutting into the cans and does not open them. It causes the metal to fray off in small pieces which resulted in getting a piece of metal stuck in my finger for weeks so I don't recommend. It's also very loud.

Leaves an EXTREMELY SHARP edge - cuts off entire lid from sides of can!

This can opener cut off the whole top of the tuna cans and left an insanely sharp, wobbly, very thin edge of the top of the can that nearly cut me because there was no heavy metal lip left behind to hold the structure of the top of the can! This is a very bad feature that is going to really hurt someone! I do NOT recommend this for anyone! Needs a product recall!

Lackluster

It does what it’s supposed to but only for a couple of cans before it dies. I’ve learned that I have to charge it before I put it away or it’s dead when I need it next and that’s after 2-3 cans. It’s small and fits in my drawer nice, does what it’s supposed to, just a little disappointed in how long it lasts
