How to Die Cut 4-color Camera Blocks:

For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. Tip: The die is specially designed to cut one complete 4-color 8" finished block in one pass through the cutter.

  • Fabric Color 1: Cut one 6" x 2 1/2" rectangle. Place right side up over shape A to cut one shape. Cut one 7 1/2" x 1 7/8" rectangle. Place right side up over shape D to cut one shape. Cut one 7 1/4" x 7 1/2" rectangle. Place right side up over shape E to cut one shape.
  • Fabric Color 2: Cut one 5 5/8" x 2 1/2" rectangle. Place right side up over shapes B to cut two shapes. Cut one 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" rectangle. Place right side up over shape C to cut one shape.
  • Fabric Color 3: Cut one 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" rectangle. Place right side up over shape C to cut one shape. Cut one 4 1/2" pre-fused fabric square. Place right side up over shape F to cut one shape. Use guidelines to center desired fabric or image on circle.
  • Fabric Color 4: Cut one 7 1/2" x 1 7/8" rectangle. Place right side up over shape D to cut one shape.

  • Camera Block includes 7 shapes that are time consuming to cut by hand.
  • Camera Block features specialized dog-ears and ¼" seam allowances for easy and piecing.

AccuQuilt Benefits:

  • Cut so much more fabric in less time.
  • Get accurate cuts every time -- No slipping rulers or mistakes
  • Easiest to use -- Simply place die on cutter, then fabric and cutting mat on top
  • Save fabric with Two Tone Foam -- Get more out of your fabric by placing it only over the shape you want to cut.
  • Safe to use -- No blades come anywhere near your fingers

Die Tips:

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle.  Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

Good to have if you've never seen the iTEP exam, but don't rely on it to boost your scores
Format: Paperback
This book is good in that it comes with two practice tests: one in the beginning of the book, one in the end of the book. The grading rubric is helpful too. However, the actual guide part of the book, doesn't help too much with how to improve test scores. What I like least about this guide is that it won't tell you which questions you answered incorrectly on the practice exams. A good test prep guide will tell you what you answered incorrectly, and will tell you what logic to follow to get to the correct answer. In the reading passages, it would be nice to know where I can find evidence to justify the "correct" answer. In the grammar section, it would be nice to know which rule I'm violating. Any test guide should always come with some testing strategies. I.E. If this question is taking up too much time, skip it and go to the next one. This guide lacks simple strategies like that. Simple strategies like that could be useful when incorporated into this guide because there are certain sections on the exam that you can go back to previous questions, but some sections where the "back" button is disabled. Overall, if you've never seen an iTEP exam before, this book is certainly helpful in that it will give you an idea of what you will be testing for. However, this book alone won't help you achieve a score of 6. The table of contents itself will tell you there are only 86 pages of actual content covering test material. That's not enough to cover how to excel in the exam.

Don't buy it
Format: Paperback
It does not prepare for the real test. Using it is absolutely not enough to be approved with good grades. Too expensive for what it offers.
