The West End Jazz Band is Chicago's premiere "sweet and hot" ensemble playing the jazz and dance music of the 1920s and early '30s.

This limited edition 78 rpm vinyl record features four exclusive performances made just for this EP. You will not find them on any other record or CD. "Coal-Yard Shuffle" is modeled on the Joe Steele Orchestra's superb recording on the highly sought-after Victor V-38066. "Mindin' My Bus'ness" is an infectious and subtly humorous novelty song of the early '20s by legendary songwriters Gus Kahn and Walter Donaldson. "(We'll Find Our Shelter) Before the Rain" was notably recorded by the Hal Kemp Orchestra in 1929; here Andy Schumm faithfully (and beautifully!) recreates the haunting Bix Beiderbecke-like solo that Bob Mayhew played on the original recording. The EP dials up the heat for the rousing finale: "Whale Dip" is an obscure 1928 fox trot first recorded by the Blue Ribbon Syncopators in Columbia's coveted 14000 series. All four are full-length performances; we have taken advantage of microgroove's finer threading to fit more than six minutes of crisp, hi-fi sound on each side of this 10-inch 78.

Personnel: Andy Schumm (cornet); Frank Gualtieri (trombone); John Otto (alto sax, clarinet); Leah Bezin (banjo); Mike Walbridge (brass bass); Mike Bezin (drums, vocals).

Both sides were recorded in Chicago, January 2010.

Limited edition pressing of 550 copies.

Note: This is a stereo, microgroove, 10-inch vinyl record meant to be played at 78 RPM. It is compatible with all modern turntables (post-1950s) fitted with a stereo cartridge and capable of spinning at 78 RPM. For best results, we strongly recommend a cartridge capable of tracking at 3-4 grams. Rugged cartridges designed for DJ use (like the Stanton 500, Shure M44-7, or Ortofon VNL) work better than delicate, high-end "audiophile" cartridges. Use an ordinary LP stylus; no special stylus is required. This record should NOT be played on vintage "wind-up" machines with steel needles. For your convenience, a complimentary downloadable MP3 version of the record will be provided upon checkout.

Nice refreshing sunscreen
Great spray sunscreen. Don't even notice any difference between this organic sunscreen and regular sunscreen. It sprays nice and evenly and provides good protection for a reasonable time. I've used this during a number of workouts out in the sun, sweating, for a few hours at a time. It sprays pretty lightly on, and stays on. Once it sprays on, while it feels light, you do feel it (like a little sticky on your skin), same as any other sunscreen really though.

Great summer scent, easy to apply, non greasy.
We LOVE spray on sunscreen. So much easier to apply, especially to yourself in the harder to reach areas. My kids like it better too, doesn't take as long so they can get to the fun stuff. This smells great, I love summer scents. It doesn't leave you feeling greasy or like you've just tarred and feathered yourself in cream and then sand. It's an SPF 50, so extra strong and does well at protecting. I do wish it was a little cheaper, so I watch for it go on sale and stock up.

Best sunscreen ever!!!
This is the BEST SUNCREEN. It’s all we use-and I know, I know it’s expensive (standard is $30 a bottle) BUT it does go on sale quite often for like $20 ish which is what competitors run for and this is WAY cleaner. It’s made of a lot of organic ingredients and this one smells summery but they have unscented options too-that’s normally what I get! You can get spf 30 or 50 and they both work so well, never been burned wearing it. It’s a fine spray that goes on clear and dries quick-no white cast, no rubbing in. We live in a hot state that is sunny a lot of the year so we need a good sunscreen year round and this ticks all my boxes. This is the best product coola offers!! My entire family uses it.

1000% you need!
I originally bought this for our Honduras vacation thinking it was basically just a facial sunscreen—and honestly, it performed amazingly for sun protection. It was the only product we used on our faces the entire trip, and my husband even used it on his bald head. We were outside in the sun for 10+ hours a day, applied it only twice daily, and neither of us burned. What I love most is how it feels on the skin: it’s very lightweight, not heavy at all, non-greasy, and it absorbs quickly. It doesn’t leave a film, doesn’t make your face shiny, and it worked well for both of us—my husband with normal skin and me with an oily T-zone. Overall, I highly recommend it. Just keep in mind to use it as intended and follow proper sun-protection directions.
