Stonefruit - Grapefruit - Vibrant
Francesco Pozzobo, from Nizza Monferrato in the heart of the Piedmont region, grows his own grapes in a holistic, biodynamic fashion with a low-impact ecosystem. Once ripe, the grapes are simply escorted to the cellar, without the aid of any additives.
This incredible wine is made from orange Moscato Bianco grapes hand harvested and crushed before a three-day maceration period. Fermentation with indigenous yeast continued in concrete tanks, then the wine was then aged in neutral oak for 10 months. Bottled with no filtration, clarification of any kind, and without any additions of sulphites.
The result is a vibrant, aromatic orange wine with delicate notes of stone fruit and pink grapefruit. A clear winner with our team at our recent tasting - we love Moscato!
