First edition, no. 258 of limited edition of 505, signed by the artist and author. Amuchastegui (1921-2002) was a self taught artist born in Cordoba, Argentina who worked in mixed media to produce his colourful, hyper-realistic wildife illustrations. He largely concentrated on the wildlife of South America but in 1973 was sponsored to take a trip to the African continent by the Tryon Gallery in London.
